1983. Hawkins, Indiana. Hawkins was a quiet, peaceful town. The city's laboratory was supposedly conducting research for the Department of Energy, but it was all a cover. In reality, they were performing human experiments on children, and as a consequence a parallel world was created, called the Upside Down. After the portal to that world was opened, strange things began to happen. Some people disappeared and others died for no reason. Part of you is in the Real World. The other part is in the Upside Down. You must find each other to unravel the mystery of how to close this portal with the help of a girl named Eleven.
